Here you can see how someone broke a skin track into the powder, which the wind etched away leaving it standing in relief. Then it looks like that all was buried in another more recent snowfall, maybe the one or two inches from a couple nights ago or more likely from the last storm three weeks ago now, which was also stripped away by winds, but still leaving the skin track buried in patches. Ski track forensics are part of understanding the current snow pack so we can find the goods, and avoid the bad. I thought at first that it was my old skin track (11-22), but that was even longer ago, and though it is aligned with my old track here, this one deviates in other spots. I suspect he was following my track in places though, still visible at that time.
