Pinemat Manzanita (Arctostaphylos nevadensis) Ericaceae family, berries were said to be favored by natives. Looks like certain insects likewise favor the nectar, and bore through the wall of the characteristic inverted bell-shaped Ericaceae flower to get it. The prolific bush doesn’t seem to suffer for it.
