It’s rare to see Bobcats (Lynx rufus) up close here, but the snow’s too deep for this one to get around properly in the neighborhood, with tall steep berms lining the roads. She(?) walked right past me through the kitchen window at eye level working at the sink, not ten feet away, while we were brewing beer on the deck. The propane burner was roaring, and my wife was in and out because the wert was about to break into a boil. The bobcat never even glanced over or hastened her pace when I came out, as my wife captured her on her phone. She just sauntered by and off into the woods.
