Some kook, ill-advisedly writing the first local BC guide at the time, heard about our tour and tried to follow it, but cleverly decided to take the ‘shortcut’ back across the lake, laboriously swimming from island to island, and hiking for hours in the dark with his sodden pack, thrashing epically and then bragging about it in print, taking multi-sport summer patch skiing to a whole ‘nother level of self-mockery, haha
