My steep skin track, per the hikers headed over to Jobs Sis as I climbed. I got to the top of the snow field and plopped down to eat my lunch. I looked up and saw that they had all stopped and were sitting watching me, with their cameras out, waiting for me to ski. So I put my sandwich back away, and ripped it hard for the peanut gallery, and then cut over to the cliff bands and ripping that too, only to discover that in my haste, I had put my skis on the wrong feet, which makes them totally duckfooted, for all it apparently mattered. Telemark skiing is all about responding to what the skis are doing, constantly compensating, linking recoveries.
