saw an ouzel! flying away low following the stream channel, all plump and bluish brown (gray?), blunt wings, quick choppy cadence, no call, headed upstream below cedar log crossing. didnt see it again upstream coming and going, probably just scouting for new terrain. We’re flattered but I dont think you’ll find this spot to your standards, no cascade, barely a riffle, and soon to be buried. (Do yourself a favor, look up the Water Ouzel! a bird of true character.)
