Giant White Wakerobin (Trillium albidum) This seems so unlikely growing here in the thicket, beside all the bear beds beneath the massive Jeffreys, but it’s only 400′ form the Mansion gardens, the likely source of this plant, another popular ornamental that is native in the foothills of the Sierra, but is not considered native here in Tahoe, yet. This is the only one I have encountered, and it has seemingly survived here quite a while, but doesnt seem to be reproducing.
