These big Jeffery Pines sometimes have seemingly enlarged branches, wondering if it’s some kind of pathogen or condition, like elephantiasis or something? Sometimes these seem to be prone to failing, presumably when snowloaded. Russel Towle thought maybe it was for bear perchs.
