Filtering water at the base of the switchbacks, for the three-thousand-foot climb out of this big ditch. We just tied a silnylon sack to a replacement filter cartridge, for a super-light, hands-free water filtration system that hooks right to the hose on my drinking bladder buried in my pack. Just dont forget to disconnect it before it overfills and explodes in there. And, it even matches our homemade packs, tarp tent, and sleeping quilt, for extra style points or demerits depending on who you ask. Ain’t no one else to ask around here though, except the ‘face bugs’ and they don’t care. They just want to kamikaze up your nose or in your eyeball, ear, mouth, etc. No biting, just trying to get inside, and only while hiking, not when you are sitting around.
