This peak is the high point in the General Creek drainage (8,721′), and I am headed up to ski the face on the looker’s left skyline. I have wanted to ski this peak for a long time, and call it dukM’e?em, after the Washoe name for the drainage, which refers to a tidal wave, suggesting a possible reference to the documented prehistoric Tahoe tsunami.
