You might notice that the water filter visible at center is different than the one that appears at the beginning of the tour, and that would be because this filter here has spent the last two months hanging in that bush. It is a custom ultralight setup with a sil-ny sack we tied to a replacement cartridge from our pump filter. I accidentally left it here day tripping and couldn’t make it back to retrieve it till now. It feels good to finally tighten up that loose end, before the winter floods wash it away as garbage, likely inoculated with pathogen spore. I’m not sure what’s up with the talon shaped rock broken in the creek bed below.
